New players are welcome, but full equipment is needed and can be provided by us. We will prepare the new players on the side and put them in when they are ready!
Pick-up lacrosse is simply dividing teams equally and having one side play dark and the other white using pinnies. The kids will warm up for 15 minutes and then play non-stop lacrosse for an hour and fifteen minutes. There will be no coaching, just one or two adults to help the kids sort teams out and keep the kids subbing fairly. The players will be encouraged to monitor their play and keep the big hits and heavy checks to a minimum. After the initial faceoff the goalies will pull the ball out of the net after goals and immediately begin a clear as if they made a save.
There will be no coaches yelling at the kids. The players can throw behind the back passes all day if they want. This league is for the pure enjoyment of the sport and is for the players to experiment and try new things. New moves, new positions, new teammates, etc.
K-4th Sunday 2:30 to 3:30 pm Christie Hoffman Field from Sep 10 to ....
5th/6th Thursday 5:30 to 7 pm at Christie Hoffman Sep 7 to .....
